Tuesday, November 9: Capitol Hill, Embassy Row, and National Cathedral
This morning we head to our nation’s Capital, Washington, D.C. As soon as we land, our expedition guide will be waiting to meet and greet us. We will visit Capitol Hill, and enjoy a tour of the sprawling US Capitol Building, the meeting place of the nation’s legislature. We will also see the National Archives and enjoy a drive-by of Embassy Row and the National Cathedral. Dinner will be enjoyed at a local restaurant. Afterwards we will experience a panoramic evening tour of the floodlit National Mall.
Wednesday, November 10: Monuments, Memorials and Smithsonian Museums
Breakfast will be served at our hotel this morning. The biblical foundations of our nation will be apparent on a monuments and memorials tour today. We will visit the WWII Memorial, the Vietnam Veterans Memorial, the Korean War Veterans Memorial, along with the Washington and Jefferson Monuments. We will make a photo stop at the White House before taking time to experience the Smithsonian Museums at our leisure. These include the National Air and Space Museum, the Smithsonian American Art Museum, and the National Museum of American History. This evening we will have dinner together in Washington, D.C.
Thursday, November 11: Museum of the Bible
We will start our last day in Washington with breakfast at our hotel, before embarking on a special tour of the Museum of the Bible. Recently opened in late 2017 and one of the most technologically advanced and engaging museums in the world, the Museum of the Bible showcases rare artifacts spanning 3,500 years of history. We will be given an immersive and personalized experience with the Bible and its ongoing impact on our country and the world around us. Our Washington expedition will complete with dinner at a local restaurant. We will transfer to the airport for our return flight home.
