Questions
Email hello@christianexpedition.com or call (877) 234-3002, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm ET. How we handle your information is set out in our Privacy Policy.
Section 01
These terms apply to every expedition booked with Christian Expedition, Inc. (“CE”, “we” or “us”). By registering for an expedition and paying a deposit, you agree to them.
Section 02
Itineraries are prepared and scheduled in advance according to the best information available at the time, and are subject to change by the date of the expedition.
We reserve the right to adjust the price of an expedition if either of the following occurs:
If anyone named in the itinerary or schedule of speakers is unable to take part, every effort will be made to find a substitute. Whether or not they take part, the expedition will go ahead on the dates listed, and the cancellation terms below apply regardless.
What is not included varies by expedition. Please read the “Not included” section on the trip page for the expedition you are interested in.
Section 03
Two payments are due for every expedition.
| Payment | Amount | When it is due |
|---|---|---|
| Deposit | $450 per person, of which $200 is non-refundable | When you register |
| Final payment | The balance of the expedition price | 90 days before the original departure date |
The deposit holds your reservation. $200 of it is non-refundable, although it may be refundable under the conditions of your travel insurance.
If we postpone an expedition and make that decision more than 90 days before the original departure date, final payment is due 90 days before the new departure date. If we make the decision 90 days or fewer before the original departure date, final payment remains due 90 days before the original departure date.
You can pay by credit card or by check. To make a credit card payment by phone, call us at (877) 234-3002.
Section 04
Cancellations must be made in writing, by email to hello@christianexpedition.com or by letter. Your cancellation takes effect on the date we receive it.
| When we receive your cancellation | What is refunded |
|---|---|
| 90 days or more before the original departure date | Everything you have paid, less $200 per person |
| Fewer than 90 days before the original departure date, including after a postponement | Everything you have paid, less the $450 deposit and any non-recoverable expenses we have incurred for your reservation |
These may include, but are not limited to, charges imposed by airlines, hotels and coach companies, the cost of the staff time spent servicing your reservation, and the cost of using our reservation system, as determined or estimated by CE. The amount varies with each expedition and the suppliers we work with.
Travel insurance
Cancellation charges may be covered by travel insurance, depending on your reason for cancelling. See Travel insurance below.
Section 05
CE may cancel or postpone any expedition at any time up to the departure date.
Section 06
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering personal accident, illness and injury, trip cancellation and baggage. CE is not responsible for accidents, illness or injury, trip cancellations, or the handling of baggage outside our control.
All categories of insurance can be purchased through us, provided by Allianz Travel Insurance.
Section 07
Please travel light: if you cannot carry it, do not bring it.
Every effort is made to handle luggage carefully, but CE does not accept liability for lost or damaged luggage or its contents. Travel insurance may cover this.
Flights within Europe
On flights within Europe that are not directly connected to a transatlantic flight, the weight limit is lower. We give you this information in your final travel documents.
Section 08
CE is not responsible for any loss you incur, including lost days of the scheduled expedition, because of a cancelled flight or other cancelled transportation. Please consider travel insurance that covers this kind of loss.
Section 09
Our representatives may take photographs and video during the expedition and use them in CE’s marketing. By taking part in the expedition, you authorize CE to take and use these images and recordings, which may include your image and likeness.
Section 10
Christian Expedition, Inc., and its employees, shareholders, officers and directors (together, “CE”), do not own or operate any entity that provides goods or services for your expedition, including, for example, lodging, transportation companies, local ground operators (including entities that may use the CE name), guides, sightseeing companies, entertainment, food or drink providers and equipment suppliers. As a result, CE is not responsible for any negligent or willful act or failure to act of any person or entity it does not own or control, or for any act or failure to act of any other third party not under its control.
Without limitation, CE is not liable for any direct, indirect, consequential or incidental damage, injury, death, loss, accident, delay, inconvenience or irregularity of any kind caused by any act or omission beyond its control. This includes any willful or negligent act, failure to act, breach of contract or violation of local law or regulation by any third party such as an airline, train, hotel, bus, taxi, van, local ground handler or guide, whether or not it uses the CE name, and the financial default or insolvency of any supplier.
Similarly, CE is not responsible for any loss, injury, death or inconvenience caused by delays or schedule changes, overbooking of accommodation, the default of any third party, attacks by animals, injury or death during activities offered by lodging facilities or other third parties, sickness, the lack of appropriate medical care or evacuation to it, weather, strikes, acts of God or government, acts or threats of terrorism, force majeure, war, quarantine, epidemics or the threat of them, criminal activity, or any other cause beyond its control.
