Three days in Jordan after Israel
Three days across the Jordan from Jerusalem: the place of Jesus’ baptism at Bethany beyond the Jordan, Mount Nebo, and a night in Petra.
Usually added to the end of an Israel expedition: across the Jordan to the baptism site and Mount Nebo, a night in Petra, and home from Amman.
From Jerusalem into Jordan, south to Petra and north to Amman.
One night in Petra and, for a next-day flight, one in Amman.
Day 1
Where Jesus was baptized, and Moses’ view of the Promised Land.
Bethany, Mount Nebo
Day 2
The Siq, the Treasury and the Nabatean city.
Petra, Amman
Day 3
The flight home from Amman.
Amman
The sites on this short route after Israel.
Three days, day by day. Every group’s version is built around its own dates, its own pace and the places that matter most to its people.
After Israel. This route starts in Jerusalem on the day after an Israel expedition ends. Jordan visas are not issued at the Allenby Bridge, so we arrange them for the group in advance.
Days 1 to 3

Day 1
We cross into Jordan early. At Bethany beyond the Jordan we walk down to the place where John baptized and where Jesus was baptized (John 1:28). On Mount Nebo we look over the Promised Land as Moses did, then drive south to Petra.
Dinner and overnight in Petra.
Day 2
We walk through the narrow Siq to the Treasury and explore the Nabatean city, then drive north to Amman in the late afternoon.
Overnight in Amman if your flight leaves the next day.
Day 3
We transfer to Amman airport for the flight home, or the night before for a late flight.

Tell us the window you have in mind and we will build the itinerary around it: the time you have, and the places that matter most to your people.
Every inclusion can be tailored to your group.
Not included unless added to your package: travel insurance, the Jordan visa and border fees, lunches, drinks, personal expenses, and the cost of meeting any national entry requirements.
Our group leader support team guides you every step of the way, Monday to Friday, 9am to 5pm Eastern, at (877) 234-3002 or groups@christianexpedition.com.

U.S. citizens need a visa for Jordan. Visas are not issued at the Allenby Bridge, so we arrange the group’s visas in advance through our partner in Jordan. There is a departure fee when leaving Israel. Passports must be valid for at least six months. Passport and entry requirements remain the responsibility of each traveler.
Groups can renew their baptism in the river here when the site allows it; we confirm before you travel.
A lot. The walk through the Siq to the Treasury is about a mile, and the city beyond is several more on sand and stone. Horses and carts can carry those who need them part of the way.
Travel insurance, the Jordan visa and border fees, lunches, drinks, personal expenses, and the cost of meeting any national entry requirements. Anything not listed as included can be quoted for your group on request.
Tell us about your group and we will be in touch.
