FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Do we need passports?

No. Travelers flying within the United States need a REAL ID driver’s license or a passport. Students under 18 traveling with the group do not need ID for domestic flights, but we recommend it.

Can we tour the Capitol and the White House?

The Capitol tour is included. White House tours are arranged through your member of Congress and are not guaranteed, so we include a photo stop and can request a tour on your behalf.

Can our group choose its own dates and change the itinerary?

Yes. Every expedition is built for one group, on that group’s dates. The six-day route on this page is our standard, and groups often drive by coach instead of flying.

How much walking is there?

A good deal in Washington: the memorials are spread along the National Mall. Comfortable shoes make the day easier, and our guides set the pace for the group.

What is generally not included?

Travel insurance, lunches, dinners not listed in the itinerary, and personal expenses. Anything not listed as included can be quoted for your group on request.
