For youth and student groups

Youth & Student Expeditions

Trips built for a youth ministry, a Christian school or a student group

Take your students to the places they have read about, with your leaders teaching, a pace that suits them, and a team that plans for every part of the trip.

Why a student trip

What a student expedition is

Three things set a student expedition apart from an adult tour.

Your leaders lead it.

Your youth pastor, teachers and chaperones travel with the group and lead the teaching and devotions. We plan the logistics so they can focus on the students.

Built for students.

The days have the right pace and variety for young travelers: time on the sites, time to walk and climb, and time together in the evenings. You approve every day before anything is booked.

Planned for the questions parents ask.

We give you clear information to share with families: the itinerary, what is included, the hotels, payment dates and who to call. Each family registers and pays us directly.

How we help

How we build a student expedition

Most youth leaders and teachers we travel with had never organized an overseas trip before. This is what we take off your plate.

  1. 1

    The first conversation

Tell us where your group wants to go, when your school or ministry calendar allows, and how many students and chaperones you expect. We come back with an itinerary and a price, with no deposit and no commitment until the plan is right.

  2. 2

    An itinerary built with you

You know your students. We shape the days, the pace and the sites around them, and you approve the itinerary before anything is booked.

  3. 3

    Information for parents

Our media team produces a trip page with online registration and a flyer you can send home, so families have everything in one place before they sign up.

  4. 4

    Registrations and payments

Each family registers and pays us directly, so your office never collects checks or chases balances. A $450 deposit at registration, and the balance 90 days before departure.

  5. 5

    Leader places

Places for your leaders are earned by the group you bring and come from our suppliers. We show you how many in the proposal.

  6. 6

A tour director with your group

A Christian Expedition tour director travels with the group from arrival to departure, with 24/7 emergency support behind them, so your leaders can look after the students.

A different kind of group?

We build the same trip for other groups

The way we build a student expedition works for a church, a ministry or radio audience or a Bible college or seminary. Tell us what the group is and we will build around it.

Before you ask

Common questions

Who travels with the students?

Your own leaders, teachers and chaperones travel with the group, along with a Christian Expedition tour director for the whole trip and licensed local guides at each site.

How many chaperones do we need?

That is your school’s or ministry’s policy to set. Tell us the number of students and leaders and we will build and price the trip for both.

When do student groups usually travel?

Most travel during spring break or the summer. Those weeks fill first, so it pays to start planning eight to thirteen months out.

Can families pay over time?

Yes. Each family pays a $450 deposit at registration and the balance 90 days before departure.

Can parents or adults outside the group join?

Usually, yes. Parents and other adults can travel with the group if your leaders are happy for them to come.

Can students fundraise for the trip?

Many groups do. Tell us how your group plans to raise funds and we will help you plan around the payment dates.

Plan your expedition

Planning an expedition for your students?

Tell us where your group would like to go, roughly when, and how many students and leaders might come. We will build the itinerary and send a full price before you commit to anything.
