When do I need to renew my passport?

Your passport should be valid for at least six months after the day you return home. That covers every country we travel to. Greece, Italy and Malta ask for three months after you leave Europe, and Turkey asks for 150 days, but airlines check these rules at check-in and can refuse to board you, so six months keeps you clear everywhere. You also need at least two blank pages. If your passport expires within six months of your return, renew it now and allow several weeks. See the rules for every country.
