   Depart the U.S.

   The day has arrived, and we depart the U.S. on an overnight air journey to Israel.

2. Day02

   Sunday, March 7

   Arrive in Israel

   We arrive in Israel at Ben Gurion Airport and are met by our Israeli guide. We will be greeted by our guide, and will make our way to our hotel. Take some time to rest or to explore the surrounding area. Tonight, we will enjoy a welcome dinner at our hotel.

   Note: Due to flight arrival times, we do not have time to visit Caesarea Maritima on this day. Thus, instead of spending the night at the Sea of Galilee, we have reserved space at a hotel in the Tel Aviv area, so that we can visit Caesarea Maritima first thing the next day.

   Dinner included. Overnight Tel Aviv area. Grand Beach or similar.

3. Day03

   Monday, March 8

   Caesarea Maritima, Megiddo, Nazareth & Mount Arbel

   This morning we drive north to Caesarea Maritima or Caesarea-by-the-Sea. We explore this ancient harbor where Peter once travelled in order to preach the Gospel to Cornelius and those assembled at his house. We visit the Tel of Megiddo, where we take in views of the Valley of Armageddon. We continue on to Nazareth, visiting Nazareth Village to better understand first-century Jewish life, followed by the Church of the Annunciation and Mary’s Well. We take in panoramic views from Mount Arbel, overlooking the Sea of Galilee and the surrounding area where Jesus ministered.

   Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight Sea of Galilee area. Kibbutz Nof Ginosar (Village Rooms) or similar.

   

4. Day04

   Tuesday, March 9

   Boat Ride, Caesarea Philippi, Capernaum, Mount of Beatitudes, Chorazin & Magdala

   This morning we enjoy a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We then travel to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter declared Jesus to be the Christ. Our day continues at Capernaum, Jesus’ Galilean ministry base, and the place where Jesus healed Peter’s mother-in-law. We visit the Mount of Beatitudes, Chorazin, and Magdala, all places where Jesus ministered in this region.

   Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Overnight Sea of Galilee area. Kibbutz Nof Ginosar (Village Rooms) or similar.

   

5. Day05

   Wednesday, March 10

   Beth Shean, Gan HaShlosha, Jericho & Jerusalem

   Leaving Galilee, we travel south through the Jordan Valley. We explore the Roman city of Beit Shean and then continue to Gan HaShlosha for an opportunity to be baptized. We visit Jericho, where we will see what could be the remains of the ramparts that Joshua and the Israelites brought down. We ascend to Jerusalem, visiting Mount Zion, the Western Wall, the Upper Room, and the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu.

   Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight Jerusalem. Ambassador Boutique Hotel or similar.

   

6. Day06

   Thursday, March 11

   Jerusalem & Bethlehem

   We depart early to visit the Temple Mount, followed by the Pools of Bethesda where Jesus healed a paralytic. Traveling to Bethlehem, we visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherds’ Fields, reflecting on Christ’s birth. In the afternoon, we explore the Herodian fortress before concluding the day at Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial, and the Israel Museum, including the Shrine of the Book.

   Breakfast and dinner included. Overnight Jerusalem. Ambassador Boutique Hotel or similar.

   

7. Day07

   Friday, March 12

   Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran & Dead Sea

   Today we journey into the Judean Desert. We ascend Masada by cable car, visit Ein Gedi where David hid from Saul, and explore Qumran, home of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We end the day floating in the mineral-rich waters of the Dead Sea (conditions permitting) before returning to Jerusalem.

   Note: The itinerary for this and the previous day have been switched because the Temple Mount will not be accessible on Friday.

8. Day08

   Saturday, March 13

   Garden Tomb & Gordon’s Calvary, Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, Church of All Nations, Via Dolorosa & Church of the Holy Sepulcher

   We begin at the Garden Tomb and Gordon’s Calvary, remembering Christ’s death and resurrection. We continue to the Mount of Olives where we will take in magnificent views of Jerusalem. We visit the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus agonized on the night before his crucifixion, and the nearby Church of All Nations. Walking the Via Dolorosa, we conclude at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, the possible location of Jesus’ crucifixion, burial, and resurrection. This evening, we gather for a farewell dinner. If not participating in the extension, your flight home may depart late tonight or the following day.

   Breakfast and dinner included. If the following day and an overnight is required, or if participating in the extension, overnight Jerusalem. Ambassador Boutique Hotel or similar.

   

9. Day09

   Sunday, March 14

   Arrive Home, or Jordan Extension: Bethany Beyond the Jordan & Mount Nebo

   Main trip: If not participating in the extension, your flight may depart the previous night or today. If today and time allows, breakfast is included today. Either way, later today we will arrive back home.

   Optional Jordan extension: We depart early and cross into Jordan. Our first stop is Bethany Beyond the Jordan, traditionally recognized as the site of Jesus’ baptism. We continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses viewed the Promised Land, before traveling south to Petra and checking into our hotel.

   Main trip: breakfast included if time allows. Jordan extension: breakfast and dinner included. Overnight Petra area. Petra Guest House or similar.

10. Day10

    Monday, March 15

    Jordan Extension: Petra

    This morning we tour the rose-red city of Petra, entering through the Siq and emerging at the Treasury, with time to explore this remarkable Nabatean capital. In the late afternoon, we travel to Amman. Your flight home may depart either late tonight or the following day.

    Note: While the itinerary leaves open the question of whether or not a final hotel will be needed, based on the flights we are currently holding, we are including a hotel night in Amman on this night.

    Breakfast and dinner included. If the following day and an overnight is required, overnight Amman. Opal or similar.

    

11. Day11

    Tuesday, March 16

    Jordan Extension: Arrive Home

    Your flight home may depart either the previous night or today. If today and time allows, breakfast is included today. Either way, later today we will arrive back at home.

• How much walking is there?Expect about 2 to 3 miles of walking on a typical touring day, much of it on uneven stone paths and steps in Jerusalem’s Old City; at Masada a cable car takes us to the top. On the Jordan extension, Petra is the longest walking day, entering through the Siq. Arrival, flight and departure days have very little walking, and we travel between cities by motor coach.
• Traveling alone?You can have a room to yourself, with a single supplement of $1,000 ($1,195 with the Jordan extension), or share a room. If you would like to share, we will do our best to match you with a traveler of the same gender and a similar age. If no match is found, the single supplement applies.
• What will I spend beyond the price?Lunches (one St. Peter’s Fish lunch is included), drinks at meals, travel insurance if you choose it, the Israeli ETA travel authorization (about $8), and your own shopping. A typical lunch costs about $15 to $20. Tips are already included on this trip. We recommend paying for most things by credit card: cards are accepted almost everywhere you will go, and credit card purchases usually come with protection that cash does not. We suggest bringing a couple hundred U.S. dollars in cash for emergencies and small purchases. When a card machine or ATM asks whether to pay in dollars or in the local currency (shekels in Israel, dinars in Jordan), choose the local currency; it is almost always cheaper.
• What if I need to cancel?Cancel in writing. Up to December 6, 2026 (90 days before departure), everything you have paid is returned except $200. After that date, all payments are non-refundable. Travel insurance may cover a cancellation, depending on the reason.
