Today we will make our way to Kavala, which is biblical Neapolis. Paul first set foot on the European continent in Neapolis. We will see the port and a mural dedicated to his arrival. Once there we will see Lydia’s Spring, where Lydia put her faith in Christ and was baptized. At the ruins of the city itself, we will see the agora and the prison where Paul was kept until an earthquake broke it open. We will then drive back to Thessaloniki (biblical Thessalonica), where Paul preached until he caused a riot. We will enjoy a tour of the city. B, D.
Today we will visit Veria (biblical Berea), where Paul went after leaving Thessalonica. The Bereans were an example to all subsequent generations of Christians, in that they searched the Scriptures to see if what Paul was saying was true.
