Itinerary

Day 1 | Monday, November 30, 2026Depart the US

The day has arrived! Today we check in for our flight and begin our overnight journey to Israel.

Day 2 | Tuesday, December 1, 2026Arrive in Tel Aviv

We arrive in Israel at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport. We meet our guide and board our coach bus. Time permitting, we will visit the ancient town of Jaffa, where Peter had his vision on the rooftop of the house of Simon the Tanner — the moment God revealed to him that all of His creation is clean and worthy to receive salvation through Jesus. Overnight Tel Aviv area. Dan Panorama Hotel or similar. D.

Day 3 | Wednesday, December 2, 2026Caesarea Maritima, Mount Carmel, Megiddo, Nazareth

Today we travel to Caesarea Maritima, where we will visit the remains of this magnificent ancient city with Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader ruins — and reflect on the baptism of Cornelius, the first Gentile convert, and the travels of Paul that made Caesarea the springboard of the Gospel’s spread to the West. We continue to Mount Carmel and consider the dramatic contest between the Prophet Elijah and the false prophets of Baal. We move on to Tel Megiddo, where we will take in an incredible view of the Valley of Armageddon. We continue to Nazareth where we will visit Nazareth Village, a re-creation of life in Nazareth during the First Century. Overnight Sea of Galilee area. Gomeh Hotel Galil or similar. B, D.

Day 4 | Thursday, December 3, 2026Tel Dan, Caesarea Philippi, Golan Heights, Yardenit

At Tel Dan we start with a walk to the head of the springs that form the main source of the River Jordan. We visit the high place of the city — featuring the Israelite four-horned altar and the city gates, among the finest examples of Old Testament city gates in existence. Our journey proceeds to Caesarea Philippi, where Peter made his famous confession that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God. We visit the grotto marking the Gates of Hades, Herod’s Palace, and the Roman bridge. As we traverse the rugged terrain of the Golan Heights, we’ll be treated to panoramic views of the landscape, including the region that marks Paul’s legendary route to Damascus. We conclude the day at the Jordan River baptismal site, Yardenit. Overnight Sea of Galilee area. Gomeh Hotel Galil or similar. B, D.

Day 5 | Friday, December 4, 2026Sea of Galilee: Boat Ride & Museum, Chorazim, Mount of Beatitudes, Mount Arbel, Peter's Primacy, Capernaum

After a buffet breakfast, we will visit the ancient boat museum containing a recently-discovered 2,000-year-old fishing boat. We will then sail on the Sea of Galilee on a replica of that boat. We move on to Chorazim, where Jesus performed miracles and pronounced a solemn word of judgment. We visit the Mount of Beatitudes and dwell on the Sermon on the Mount. After lunch on your own, we make our way to Mount Arbel, where a breathtaking view of the Sea of Galilee opens before us and we reflect on Jesus’ ministry with his disciples. We continue to Peter’s Primacy at Tabgha, where Jesus appeared to his disciples after his resurrection and restored Peter beside the water. We conclude the day at Capernaum, Jesus’ Galilean ministry base. Overnight Sea of Galilee area. Gomeh Hotel Galil or similar. B, D.

Day 6 | Saturday, December 5, 2026Beth She'an, Qasr al Yahud, Jericho, Dead Sea

This morning we leave the area of Galilee heading south. We stop to visit Beth She’an, or Scythopolis as it was called by the Romans — the very city where the Philistines fastened the body of King Saul to the wall after his defeat on Mount Gilboa, and later a member of the Decapolis in Jesus’ day. Driving south, we come to Qasr al Yahud on the Jordan River, where the Israelites crossed into the Promised Land and where Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. We visit Jericho, the first city conquered by Joshua, and we will see the famous Sycamore tree — reminiscent of the one Zacchaeus climbed to catch a glimpse of Jesus. We make our way to the Dead Sea where we will have the opportunity to float. Overnight Dead Sea area. David Dead Sea Resort & Spa or similar. B, D.

Day 7 | Sunday, December 6, 2026Masada, Ein Gedi, Qumran

This morning we drive to Masada, the fortress built by Herod the Great and made famous by the Zealots’ last stand against Rome. We visit the ruins that are considered a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, ascending by cable car. We continue to Ein Gedi, the lush oasis in the desert where David hid from King Saul and where many of the Psalms were penned. We will visit Qumran, the location of the Dead Sea Scrolls — discovered by a Bedouin boy in 1947. We will see the caves and other buildings where the Essenes, the group of Jews who wrote the scrolls, lived. Overnight Jerusalem. David Citadel Hotel or similar. B, D.

Day 8 | Monday, December 7, 2026Mount of Olives, Tower of David Museum, Israel Museum, Valley of Elah

We will begin our day with a sweeping orientation over the holy city from the Mount of Olives, connecting the landmarks below with Biblical stories and the great prophecies of Jesus’ return. We will then walk down the Palm Sunday Procession Road. We visit the Tower of David Museum, originally Herod’s Palace, where the ancient ruins come alive with Jerusalem’s layered history. We continue to the Israel Museum, where we will visit the remarkable Second Temple Period model of Jerusalem, followed by the Shrine of the Book where the Dead Sea Scrolls are on exhibit. In the afternoon we venture out to the Valley of Elah, where David had his famous encounter with Goliath. Overnight Jerusalem. David Citadel Hotel or similar. B, D.

Day 9 | Tuesday, December 8, 2026Temple Mount, St. Anne’s Church, Pools of Bethesda, Upper Room, Western Wall, Davidson Center, City of David

This morning we ascend the Temple Mount, where the Jewish Temple once stood. We will visit St. Anne’s Church, along with the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus healed the paralytic — a place that invites deep reflection on the power of faith. On Mount Zion we will visit the Upper Room, the traditional site of the Last Supper. We continue to the Jewish Quarter to visit the Western Wall, Judaism’s holiest site. We then descend into the City of David, walking Hezekiah’s Tunnel and continuing along the recently-opened pilgrimage road that likely bore the footsteps of the Holy Family. We end our day at the Southern Wall Excavations and the Southern Steps — the very stones Jesus walked as he made his way to the Temple, where Rabbis gathered to teach their disciples. Overnight Jerusalem. David Citadel Hotel or similar. B, D.

Day 10 | Wednesday, December 9, 2026Garden of Gethsemane, St. Peter in Gallicantu, Via Dolorosa, Holy Sepulcher, Garden Tomb

We begin our final full day in Jerusalem at the Garden of Gethsemane, where the passion of Jesus began, and continue to St. Peter in Gallicantu — the home of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Peter’s denial unfolded in the shadows of that terrible night. We walk the Via Dolorosa, following the path Jesus walked to Calvary, and arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. We close our journey at the Garden Tomb, the peaceful site that some believe is the place where Jesus was buried — and rose again. Your flight home may depart either late tonight or the following day. If the following day and an overnight is needed: Overnight Jerusalem. David Citadel Hotel or similar. B, D.

Day 11 | Thursday, December 10, 2026Return Home

Your flight may depart the previous night or today. If today and time allows, breakfast is included. Either way, today we will arrive back in Miami (MIA).

Can I book my own flights?

You are always welcome to arrange your own flights. Arranging airfare on your own gives you the ability to spend personally-earned airline miles for your ticket, handpick your seats, upgrade directly with the airline, or deviate from the group in other ways.

What is group airfare?

We work with airlines on booking group airfare from anticipated departure airports. This allows us to get the best rates to fly you and the rest of the group to and from your destination. Group air contracts do not allow deviations, date changes, or upgrades, and in some cases issuing tickets at individual rates may be necessary. See “special flight/hotel requests section” below.

Select your preferred departure airport during registration. If you don’t see your preferred airport listed, please select “send me a flight quote”.

Can I apply TSA PreCheck or Global Entry?

If you have booked airfare through us and would like to apply your Known Traveler Number (for TSA PreCheck) and/or your CBP PASSID (for Global Entry), you may provide it to us during registration. Forgot your KTN? Retrieve it here: https://tsaenrollmentbyidemia.tsa.dhs.gov/ktn-lookup

Can I use frequent flyer miles or airline vouchers?

We cannot book your airfare using earned frequent flyer miles or airline vouchers. However, if the airfare we book for you coincides with an airline you are a member of, we are happy to apply your frequent flyer # to your booking for any mile accrual (if applicable).

Can I upgrade my flights and/or depart earlier/return later than the group?

Absolutely. If you would like to arrive earlier/depart later than the group and/or upgrade your airfare, please contact us at hello@christianexpedition.com

When will I receive my flight schedule?

The group’s flight schedules will be provided to you digitally and in the mail 30 days before the pilgrimage.
