Footsteps of Moses: Pastors’ Familiarization Trip

Today we depart from home on an overnight journey to Saudi Arabia.

Today we arrive in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia at Prince Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Airport (TUU). Upon arrival we will transfer to our hotel, where we will enjoy our welcome dinner and spend the night. Overnight Tabuk. Swiss Inn or similar. D.

(Please note that American citizens must obtain a visa for entry into Saudi Arabia; the cost is not included in the price)

We will visit the Split Rock of Moses, which has been identified as potentially being the rock that Moses struck and out of which water poured for the thirsty Israelites. We see Jabal Maqla, a potential site of Mount Sinai. At its base, we will see Moses’ Altar, which could be the altar built by Moses at the base of Mount Sinai after he received the Law. Exodus 24:4 recounts that Moses built such an altar and also set up twelves stone pillars. We will see what are potentially the remains of these pillars. Overnight Tabuk. Swiss Inn or similar. Today we will enjoy a full day tour of the Hisma Valley. The tour will include Ship Rock, Secret Garden, and the Arch Rock, which are impressive geological formations. Overnight Tabuk. Swiss Inn or similar. B, L, D.

Today we will return to Jabal Maqla, which is believed by some to be the authentic site of Mount Sinai. We will hike the mountain, which will take the entirety of the day. Overnight Tabuk. Swiss Inn or similar. B, L, D.

Today we will visit the Nabatean Tombs named for Jethro. We will also visit Moses’ Well, where it is believed that Moses met Zipporah. We will then visit the potential crossing point used by Moses and the Israelites when fleeing from Egypt. Overnight Tabuk. Swiss Inn or similar. B, L, D.

Today we will transfer to the airport (TUU) and begin our journey home. If time allows, breakfast is included today.
